Portsmouth Radio Club originated in 1939 and became a charter
member of ARRL in July, 1949. The Club's mission is to provide
individuals who have an interest in amateur radio a means of learning,
cooperating, exchanging information and communicating in various ways,
all in a social setting.
PRC is prepared at all times to support local communities with
emergency radio communications using all means available at our
disposal. The Club reaches out to Adams, Lawrence, Pike and Scioto
counties.
PRC club meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at the
Wheelersburg Branch Library in Wheelersburg, Ohio. Meetings begin at
6:30 PM. The December meeting is the club's annual Christmas dinner.

PRC has moved some of the repeater
equipment to the South Webster location.
The repeater and controller are installed
and seem to be working good. The
preamp and rf amp will be installed in a
couple of weeks. The CAT controller will
be disconnected in a couple of days and
replaced with a CW only ID unit. When
the programming is completed on the CAT,
it will be put back into service ...
